Scorching summers are here! Dehydration is at its peak. Read what you can do to avoid dehydration.
Are you one of those who are struggle with the excessive sweat during the summer? If your answer is ‘yes’ then you are  at a risk of suffering from the  dehydration.
Dehydration can occurs when your body will loses significant amount of fluids along with these essential salts and then some minerals. Don’t take it as lightly, it might even be associated with something which is more serious.
But during the summer time , dehydration is a quite different. There are some important  tips that can help you in preventing  dehydration while the heat is on:
1. Drink sufficient water:
No matter on  how much you avoid it you are bound to lose some amount of the body  fluids through sweating during summer seasons. So drinking of high amount of adequate water is the first thing you need to keep in your mind in order to stay away from the dehydration. Some experts have been suggested to drink atleast 6-8 glasses of water in each and every day. But you must remember fluid requirement varies from person to person which is mainly depending on factors like weight, height, physical activity and the type of region where you live in. 
2. Avoid diuretics: 
Diuretics aresome of the  substances or in foods that can  increase the production of urine in the body, which in turn results in loss of some fluids from the body. Popular diuretics that can include caffeine from  containing beverages like coffee, chocolate, cola etc.
3. Avoid spicy foods: 
Apart from giving you that your facing other health problems like acidity and then  heart burn, spicy food also contributes to loss of the body fluids by increasing the internal body temperature. But avoiding some spicy food for preventing sweating in the summer is debatable. Some experts can suggest it is good to have a spicy food because it helps in reducing the gap between the  internal and external temperature and gives a cooler feeling later on.  
4. Eat food high in potassium: 
Dehydration does not  mean just loss of water. Along with the  water, your body can  loses a huge amount of electrolytes which you will need to replenish. You need to eat potassium-rich foods including pineapples, bananas, sweet potatoes, coconut water and then mangoes.
5. Avoid excessive exertion:
Some amount of the physical activity is no doubt important to stay fit. During summer it will be dangerous, especially if you do not keep for rehydrating yourself by taking water-breaks in between.
6. Stay indoors: 
This is one of the best way helps in preventing dehydration. Direct exposure to the sun which was  naturally causes you to sweat more. So, avoid going out in the afternoon when the temperature reaches its peak.
7. Wear light, loose fitting clothes:
Darker shades can tend to absorb more heat causing to sweat more, while for tight fitting clothes will prevents external cool down which is essential for your body to regulate temperature internally. So, choose lighter shades while going out in the sun. Wear loose fitting pants, preferably cotton etc.   
8. Practice yoga:
Yoga is the  relaxing and has the ability to calm down the nerves that has signal excessive sweating due to increase in the external temperature. 
9. Say no to cigarettes and alcohol: 
Cigarette smoke will dries up the lining of the throat and can causes the cells to become dehydrated. It also with brain signals that can induce thirst, so you do not feel like drinking water. Alcohol, on the other hand, is a diuretic. It can dehydrates the cells lining your throat and in stomach. It also affects the liver cells and can lead to sever dehydration.
